Campaigning
We are running a press office and a series of media campaigns through a project called 'UnCover' which is funded by the Big Lottery.
Our media project workers and the media team are all people with learning disabilities. Their aim is to try to change attitudes. They want the general public to see what people with learning disabilities can do. They also want more people to know what life is really like for them.
We are also helping team members to get jobs:
- helping to research a potential career path
- development of CVs
- signposting and then supporting people to follow up job opportunities
- enabling people to network and showcase their experience and talent to potential employers
- setting up and supporting work placements
