A GROUP of Coventry young people with and without learning disabilities organised a weekend of team building in January.
Fourteen young people from different special and mainstream schools looked at ways to work together and overcome segregation through experiencing the thrills of the great outdoors in Dolben Hall's remote North Wales setting.
The young people wanted to develop their skiils as a management team for Grapevine's new lottery funded project Get In. The outdoor centre provided an ideal environment to build relationships with fun activities like orienteering, paintballing, negotiating the high ropes and caving.
The team are all set to appeal to Coventry youngsters to join them on a four year project to tackle disadvantage. Watch this space!
