Are you an Expert by Experience willing to join us?

Experts by Experience is an opportunity for autistic people or people with a learning disability* to influence decision-making and have a say on new services and strategies that have or will have an impact on disabled people.

You could be involved with designing, reviewing and evaluating different services, as well as supporting recruitment of the right people to work for the local authority or in the NHS.

*And their parent or carer, where applicable.

The topics covered will vary and will include developing work on:

  • The Transforming Care Programme
  • The NHS Long Term Plan
  • Specialist services
  • Housing and residential support
  • Social care services and support, including support in the day, in your home and respite services
  • Healthcare services and hospital stays.

This is not a full-time position and will involve ad-hoc working hours. The hours will vary dependending on your availability and the requirements of the project. Some of these opportunities are paid.
