Community organising is about building relationships and networks in communities that mean together people can tackle their local issues.
We’re recruiting for a temporary community organiser. This role is fixed term on a full-time basis for two months (37 hours per week) or part-time for four months (18.5 hours per week).
The salary is £26,999 full-time annual equivalent (pro rata for part-time).
Residents of Stoke Aldermoor, Coventry have come together to create their own ‘Partnership for Social Action’. Your job will be to help them create and drive multiple community initiatives that will help make the area a better place to live and work.
The role has been inspired by movement building and has lots of techniques in common with it.
Community organising focuses on listening, building relationships and mobilising people in communities. It also encourages people to take action that makes a difference.
