In June 2023, the first Cov Cares Awards brought Coventry’s business community together to celebrate connection and belonging.
Ten awards – from Community Champion to Warm Welcome to More Than Just A… shop, cafe, bar, venue and bank – shone a light on the city’s unsung heroes. Nominated by the people of Coventry themselves.
The Cov Cares Awards celebrated the businesses, organisations and individuals going above and beyond to make customers feel seen, heard and cared for.
The power of these special places, spaces and people is not to be underestimated in our fight against isolation and marginalisation.
The ceremony audience heard powerful stories sent in by the people of Coventry, highlighting the impact that the businesses and organisations had on their lives.
BUT we want to continue building on this amazing foundation of belonging.
To create a network of connection across the city and truly show what we mean when we say, “Cov Cares”. Can you help?
Join us on Wednesday 30 August for an exciting event for businesses interested in building a Coventry that truly cares for its residents.
At the city centre’s Central Hall in Warwick Lane from 6pm, we will gather to discuss and explore ways to create a more inclusive and supportive place.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from experts in the field and contribute to the growth of our community.
With thanks to Dr Benoit Granier at Coventry University and Radman TV for the video of our ceremony.
Grapevine’s Connecting For Good movement against isolation and marginalisation in Coventry is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and forms part of our #SparkingCommunity and #ShiftingPower work with communities and systems.
